Dr. Andrea Dorman - Owner

Dr. Andrea Dorman Dr. Andrea Dorman is a Chiropractor with training in multiple treatment techniques and modalities.

Dr. Dorman graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2007 and has an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University. She has training in Active Release Techniques (ART), Acupuncture, Laser Therapy, KinesioTaping and TPI Golf Fitness Instructor Level. She has a special interest in diagnosing, treating and managing concussions and received training through Shift Concussion Management Inc.

As a mother of three kids, Dr. Dorman realizes how important it is to stay healthy and active. Dealing with injuries can be stressful and time consuming which is why she prides herself on providing care that will allow you to return to your daily activities as quickly as possible. Home rehab and strategies to maintain your health are vital parts of the care that Dr. Dorman provides.

Meet Our RMT's

Massage therapy is a very effective, drug-free way to treat many different afflictions that is not invasive. Some of the conditions include chronic and acute muscle/joint pain, back problems, tension headaches, poor posture, sports and or reoccurring injuries. Massage therapy is also proven to reduce stress.

Sara Guinan

Sara GuinanSara is passionate about healing and overall well being and is committed to personal care and treatment of her patients to ease stress, anxiety and tension imposed by our fast paced world. Sara believes in fostering a safe and nurturing environment where her patients can experience the transformative power of therapeutic bodywork to promote overall relaxation, relieve chronic pain, and promote awareness of body mind connection to aid in healing.

Andrew Dubé

Andrew DubéAndrew is passionate about empowering his clients to rest deeply so that they can rise stronger. In addition to his 7 years as an RMT he has also been involved in coaching exercise and movement for over 20 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of breathwork and corrective exercise to his massage therapy practice to help get you to the bottom of your pain/tension complaints.

Due to his own wellness fight (journey) Andrew has a special interest in treating complications coming from a breathing mechanism that could use a little (or a lot of) love! Some of these complications might include tension headaches, excessive stress, jaw tension, sleep disorders, low back/tension, neck pain/tension, anxiety and digestive complaints.

Dominique Reyes

Dominique ReyesDominique is a graduate from the Massage Therapy program at Mohawk College and holds a Honours Bachelor degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from Sheridan College.

Dominique brings her extensive background knowledge in Kinesiology to all treatments and believes that movement and stretching is key to alleviating and preventing pain and dysfunction. She likes to be hands-on with her clients and will always try to incorporate muscles movement or stretching in her treatments to further improve her client’s overall well-being.

Meet Our Physiotherapists

Kelly Hopcraft

Kelly Kelly is a registered physiotherapist with over 19 years of experience working in an orthopaedic physiotherapy clinical setting. Kelly completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2002 following an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2000.

Kelly has also completed continuing education courses in acupuncture, manual therapy and mobilization of the fascial system. She is currently completing a course in Osteoporosis Management – Bone Fit. She has experience treating a variety of injuries such as osteoarthritis, joint and muscle sprain/strains, post-op surgeries/joint replacements, sports injuries, balance retraining, post mastectomy, back and neck pain, tendonitis and so on.

As a physiotherapist, Kelly enjoys being able to help her clients improve their quality of life, by reducing pain, increasing function, strength and mobility. She brings her kind and caring nature into every session.

While away from the clinic, Kelly spends her time at the hockey arena, baseball diamond and camping with her husband and three boys.

 

Neha Chopra-Tandon

Neha Chopra-Tandon Neha completed her Bachelor’s degree from McMaster University in Biology and Psychology. Later she received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from University of Toronto. She is currently working on her second Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science. She has been working as a Physiotherapist since 2007 and has worked in major cities like Toronto, Edmonton and Ottawa. Since graduation, she has specialized in orthopaedic injuries including sports injuries, joint replacements, pre and post-surgical rehab. Neha is a trained Manual Therapist and also provides Vestibular and Concussion Rehabilitation. She has advanced training in these areas.

Neha is continuously involved in new research and teaching at McMaster University, such as exercise research for long standing low back and neck pain. She strongly believes that most chronic musculoskeletal pain is a result of faulty movement patterns and compensations. These compensations can often be corrected with focused exercise, improved body awareness, and manual therapy. In her spare time Neha enjoys hiking, painting and spending time with kids.

 



Meet Our Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine          

Chang il (Edward) Hong

Dr. Karen Garner Edward Hong (Chang il) is a highly accomplished and dedicated practitioner in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Osteopathy. With an impressive educational background and a passion for helping people, Edward has developed expertise in various areas of health and wellness. Edward completed his Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) program with honors at Pacific Rim College in British Columbia. He is registered as an acupuncturist and a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner with the CTCMPAO in Ontario and holds the Doctor of TCM designation with the CTCMA in British Columbia. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Korea University and a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto. Throughout his career, Edward has gained valuable experience practicing in multidisciplinary health clinics in Victoria, BC.

Prior to his TCM and Osteopathy career, Edward spent many years as a Body and Brain Yoga & Tai Chi instructor and brain trainer, offering classes and workshops on brain health, energy, and overall well-being. This background instilled in him a deep interest in holistic and energetic medicine, leading him to explore natural approaches to address chronic health problems. Edward's areas of special interest include the brain (such as sleep problems and anxiety), the digestive system (indigestion and constipation), and pain management (chronic and acute). However, he finds fulfillment in treating a wide range of health issues. He remains actively engaged in research, delving into not only TCM but also Traditional Korean Medicine, and incorporates these ancient healing practices into his treatments. He is also intrigued by the use of fermented herbal medicines.

With a holistic approach to healthcare, Edward takes pride in customizing each treatment to suit the unique needs of his patients. His treatment modalities include acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, acupressure, electro-acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Manual Osteopathy. His ultimate goal is to enable others to live vibrant, pain-free lives while embodying the role of a healer who tends to his own well-being and addresses the ailments of others. During his leisure time, Edward enjoys exploring the wilderness of Ontario with his wife and indulging in thriller movies.

Kristin Kiviranta (Reiki Master)

Dr. Karen Garner Kristin is a certified Reiki Master & intuitive healer that works with crystals and your body’s Chakra system to help heal the body on an energetic level. She believes that all dis-ease starts on an energetic level and given the proper support, the body is able to heal itself.

Kristin is passionate about personal growth, spiritual development and is always striving to learn new things. She is also certified in: EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique), Hypnotherapy, Past-life Regression Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Crystal Healing, Restorative Yoga & is a certified life coach.

Christopher Savard, NP, MEd

 Chris Savard Chris Savard has been working in healthcare for over 20 years, providing exceptional care as a flight nurse, an emergency nurse and as a primary healthcare Nurse Practitioner. He has had the privilege of teaching students in the Nurse Practitioner program at McMaster University and in the community for many years.

Chris is interested in providing healthcare options to individuals looking for family health care services. He has a passion for health care and lots of training in the collaborative psychiatric care model and is a facilitator for the Foundation for Medical Practice Education.
